Warehouse Associate
Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Department: Warehouse
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, organize, supervise and coordinate in daily warehouse/ logistic operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety, and distribution of supplies and maintenance of inventory with proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Organize and maintain warehouse area by creating an efficient and effective inventory management system, space utilization and maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition
- Coordinate execution of logistic operations across multiple departments (QA, DCC, and Production) and collaborate with purchasing and customer service to optimize processes.
- Assist the implementation of the new ERP system in the warehouse.
- Monitor and maintain daily inventory in the warehouse by using the FIFO method and maintain monthly inventory reports.
- Assist the accounting department for annual physical inventory count.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of inventory records and prepare necessary reports as required.
- Receiving (Inbound)by verifying items received from vendors matching with packing list; Unload/load and verify shipments; Sort/separate goods, log and post inventory record, tag pallets; Transfer and stocking of pallets, skids, boxes, raw material and finish product to designated locations.
- Shipping (Outbound)by sorting/picking finish goods for shipment and ensuring that all required documents are attached to each pallet and compliant with customer’s specification to avoid any non-compliance fees from freight carrier or customers; ie provide evidence to customers by taking photos of the pallet before loading to the truck; communicate with truck drivers to ensure all documents are signed and all paperwork and pallets are accounted for.
- Prepare ASN (Advance Ship Notice) through website EDI to customers (ETA, appointment and schedule delivery)
- Review all update Routing Requirements from customers and record the carrier and tracking information as well as track all outbound shipment status daily.
- Address any shipping issues to the carrier and investigate and resolve any dispute OS&D (Over, Short & Damage), missing or undelivered shipment, weight discrepancies, charge back from the customers, etc
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION:
- High school diploma and/or GED
- Ability to operate warehouse ERP software (Microsoft Dynamic GP), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook
- Experience in using EDI and preparing shipping documents i.e. ASN (Advance Ship Notice)
- Analytical, well-organized, excels in communication both orally and in writing.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable with paperwork, information systems and have a great knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, space utilization in warehouse and inventory method
- Ability to work in a “fast pace” environment, strong time management and problem- solving skills
- Ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
- Minimum 6 months forklift operating experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with a valid forklift certificate.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices
- Flexible with working shifts and/or overtime.
