Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Department: Warehouse

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Plan, organize, supervise and coordinate in daily warehouse/ logistic operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety, and distribution of supplies and maintenance of inventory with proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse area by creating an efficient and effective inventory management system, space utilization and maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition
  • Coordinate execution of logistic operations across multiple departments (QA, DCC, and Production) and collaborate with purchasing and customer service to optimize processes.
  • Assist the implementation of the new ERP system in the warehouse.
  • Monitor and maintain daily inventory in the warehouse by using the FIFO method and maintain monthly inventory reports.
  • Assist the accounting department for annual physical inventory count.
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of inventory records and prepare necessary reports as required.
  • Receiving (Inbound)by verifying items received from vendors matching with packing list; Unload/load and verify shipments; Sort/separate goods, log and post inventory record, tag pallets; Transfer and stocking of pallets, skids, boxes, raw material and finish product to designated locations.
  • Shipping (Outbound)by sorting/picking finish goods for shipment and ensuring that all required documents are attached to each pallet and compliant with customer’s specification to avoid any non-compliance fees from freight carrier or customers; ie provide evidence to customers by taking photos of the pallet before loading to the truck; communicate with truck drivers to ensure all documents are signed and all paperwork and pallets are accounted for.
  • Prepare ASN (Advance Ship Notice) through website EDI to customers (ETA, appointment and schedule delivery)
  • Review all update Routing Requirements from customers and record the carrier and tracking information as well as track all outbound shipment status daily.
  • Address any shipping issues to the carrier and investigate and resolve any dispute OS&D (Over, Short & Damage), missing or undelivered shipment, weight discrepancies, charge back from the customers, etc
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATION:

 

  • High school diploma and/or GED
  • Ability to operate warehouse ERP software (Microsoft Dynamic GP), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook
  • Experience in using EDI and preparing shipping documents i.e. ASN (Advance Ship Notice)
  • Analytical, well-organized, excels in communication both orally and in writing.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable with paperwork, information systems and have a great knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, space utilization in warehouse and inventory method
  • Ability to work in a “fast pace” environment, strong time management and problem- solving skills
  • Ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
  • Minimum 6 months forklift operating experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with a valid forklift certificate.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices
  • Flexible with working shifts and/or overtime.

We are currently hiring an experienced Warehouse Shipping Clerk to conduct the following:

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Operate modern office equipment including computer equipment and software.
  • Plan, organize, and carry out administrative assignments; research, compile, and organize information and data from various sources on a variety of specialized topics related to Admin Departments.
  • Provide support to onsite and remote sales team.
  • Assists in planning & organizing special projects.
  • Assist sales department to prepare and send samples to customer.
  • Provide support to all Admin Departments.
  • Efficiently and accurately assist with front office or other administrative duties
  • Schedules appointments & meetings; coordinates meetings & agenda materials.
  • Maintain and update sales and customer records
  • Provide support to Warehouse Department.
  • Retrieve mail from our general mailbox. Distribute mail to the box for appropriate personnel. Deliver outgoing mail to general outgoing mailbox
  • Collect tracking information from Bill of Lading.
  • Input shipment tracking information.
  • Review and plan purchase orders due to ship, prepare packing slips for the warehouse staff.
  • Communicate with and respond to customers (send shipping updates, notify customers of shortages/cut quantities, provide ASN, etc.) by following the proper template guide.
  • Printing, copying, and scanning of confidential documents.
  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files.
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.
  • Performs other duties as required.
