BASIC FUNCTIONS: 

 

Perform all compounding related tasks including the training and scheduling of compounders: general housekeeping, aseptic gowning, cleanroom sanitization, cleaning/sanitization of the compounding equipment (CIP/SIP), weighing of raw materials, compounding and pre/sterile filtration of solutions.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Scheduling of compounding personnel
  • Observe and report areas of opportunity for process for current compounding processes
  • Communicate with Planning/Production/Warehouse/QA/QC to order/reconcile raw materials
  • Coordinate and support in Research and Development (R&D) projects
  • Coordination and execution of training of production compounders
  • Ensure compounders Request, receive and verify raw materials from warehouse
  • Operate the WMS (Warehouse Management System) for raw material inventory
  • Weigh and compound raw materials
  • Maintain control of raw materials inventory forms during usage
  • Clean and Sanitize the classified areas (cleanrooms) and equipment
  • Clean in Place (CIP) of compounding and product holding tanks
  • Clean Out of Place (COP) of compounding and filtration equipment
  • Sterilize in Place (SIP) of compounding and filtration equipment
  • Perform pre-filtration and sterilizing filtration set-up and integrity testing (bubble point)
  • Operate the steam sterilizer (Autoclave)
  • Perform housekeeping operations as assigned
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Follow company safety policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or special instructions in performing the above duties

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years’ experience in compounding
  • Basic mathematic skills with clear understanding of standard units of measurement
  • Competency using computer
  • Able to work on call
  • Able to stand continuously for prolonged time to performed assigned duties
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean and sanitize the compounding equipment – Clean In Place (CIP)
  • Clean and Sterilize the compounding equipment – Sterilize In Place (SIP)
  • Operate Dry Feed In-Line Homogenizer
  • Request, receive and verify raw materials from the warehouse
  • Weigh and compound raw materials
  • Maintain control of raw materials inventory forms during usage
  • Sanitize the Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Purified Water Systems
  • Operate disinfectant dispensers
  • Sanitize the classified areas and equipment
  • Perform housekeeping and organize weighing and compounding equipment

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
  • Pharmaceutical and sterile filtration experience
  • Follow company safety policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Basic math skills
  • Able to stand continuously for a prolonged time to perform assigned duties
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
